AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and meets at FBC on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. through the regular school year. AWANA provides children from three years to 6th grade an amazing opportunity to learn about Jesus in a fun, exciting, and challenging way. AWANA utilizes recreation, Bible memorization, small groups, and large groups to help students understand God’s Word.
Bible Drill is a Scripture-based memorization method where students learn Scripture throughout the year and compete against each other in drills. Children are truly taught to hide God’s Word in their heart in creative ways through this ministry. Bible Drill is open to children in 3rd grade and up and meets on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. during the school year.
Children’s Church provides children with a church experience where they can learn exciting truths on their specific level. Children’s Church is for children ages four through 2nd grade and meets during the second Sunday morning worship service (after song service). Parents can pick up their children after the morning worship service from the Children’s Church room in the West Hall.
FBC’s nursery is equipped to serve your littles ones in a loving and safe environment. Staffed with both paid employees and trained volunteers, FBC’s nursery is ready for your kiddos! Newborn and toddlers, walks and crawlers are all welcome here. Nursery is available during all church services, Sunday Bible studies, and small groups. The nursery is located in the West Hall. When you arrive, sign in your child, get a pager, and we will take it from there.
Power Hour is a place for children to be challenged in God’s Word at a deeper, more intimate level. Power Hour is for grade school children and will incorporate intriguing Bible study worship, and games. Power Hour meets on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. during the school year, and on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. during Summer months.
